MRS Golf Day (2)

Monday, September 20th, 2010

A hardy bunch braved the worst that North Cheshire could throw at it – the possibility of inclement weather, the chance of finishing the round in the dark, and the harshest Nearest the Pin competition in golfing history.  Actually, the weather wasn’t bad at all, the company was excellent and a thoroughly enjoyable time was had.  Congratulations to the winners, Craig Nicholas of Goss Graphics (www.gossinternational.com), Andrew Pickup of Dunbia (www.dunbia.com), who also won the Longest Drive competition and Dave Burgess of Phillip Carroll Associates (www.phillipcarroll.co.uk), and to the Nearest the Pin (or Only Person on the Green) winner, Kevin Gibson of Web Dynamics (www.webdynamics.co.uk).  Thanks to everyone who took part in the raffle, which meant that we raised nearly £240 for the British Heart Foundation, the winner of which was Chris Golding of Cinpres (www.cinpres.com).  Many thanks too to Antrobus Golf Club www.antrobusgolfclub.co.uk for their hospitality, and we look forward to 2011’s event.

2010 Golf Day

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

It’s that time of the year again, time to dust off the putter and the excuses.  This year’s main event (the Ryder Cup is just a sideshow) is taking place at Antrobus Golf Club near Northwich on Thursday 16th September, and we are proud to announce that from this event onwards we will be supporting the British Heart Foundation www.justgiving.com/MRS-Golf-Day.

Updates, and possibly even photos, will appear once everyone has recovered!
