Job of the Week!

My client is a dynamic, expanding organisation pursuing serious growth plans. As part of these plans, they have recently recruited their first General Manager and they are now seeking to strengthen the accounting team with the appointment of an ambitious part or fully qualified CIMA accountant with previous experience in a similar role. Your duties will involve producing detailed management accounts, budgets and cashflows, margin and variance analysis and a host of other manufacturing KPIs, to support both senior management and the sales team. It will be advantageous if you have had exposure to a range of IT systems in your career to date, preferably having been involved in a full IT systems implementation, and you will have excellent Excel knowledge. The role will also incorporate credit control, purchase ledger maintenance and costings, providing financial support to all ad hoc projects and recommending improvement to business practices and processes. This is an outstanding opportunity that will provide both invaluable experience and a career springboard.

Job of the Week!

My client is an outstanding success story, long established, cash rich and debt free, with an enviable reputation for quality and service and an almost exclusively blue chip customer base. As part of their forward thinking strategy, they are now looking to strengthen their team with the recruitment of an experienced, creative mechanical design engineer. This is not your traditional sitting in a back office type of position; the size of the team dictates that you will be involved in many different areas of the business, but your primary points of contact will be with sales, customers and manufacturing. Degree qualified, you will have a background in mechanical engineering, with a good understanding of the automotive or aerospace sector, either through previous employment or even as a hobby. Not only will you be able to turn customers’ ideas into reality, and be able to talk to clients to interpret their ideas, but also be able to design products that not only can be made, but can be made in a cost effective manner. With experience of working in a manufacturing environment, rather than purely theoretical, you will also be able to interpret feedback from the manufacturing side on strengths, weaknesses and other properties. It is rare for such a broad range of skills to be required in a role, and even rarer for such a role to offer both long term stability and career development in the way that this one does.
