Job of the Week!

My client is an outstanding success story, having reinvented itself to become the leading supplier of a range of manufactured products to a customer base that covers the entire scope of retailers, from supermarkets to major department stores to high street and discount outlets. Tasked with achieving significant growth targets, the Head of Sales is now seeking to recruit an additional member of the sales team into a new role managing a portfolio of existing clients but also seeking out new opportunities. The existing clients that you inherit will be some of the smaller accounts by value and volume (not potential), and your role will be to not only manage their current expenditure, but also to increase both the product base sold by these customers, and the turnover they contribute. A key part of this role, though, is to identify, approach and market test potential new customers, and any accounts that you are successful in acquiring will remain with you to develop further. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with a couple of years’ experience selling to the trade, multiples or even independents to join an established, successful team and develop your career further in a supportive, dynamic and forward thinking environment.

Job of the Week!

My client is one of the best known and most respected names in the business, operating in a truly global marketplace and with an awe-inspiring range of customers. To support the existing finance team and with a view to future development, they are now seeking to appoint a hardworking, ambitious, spreadsheet literate part qualified accountant to a new role. You must be committed to your studies, which at this stage can be either AAT, CIMA or ACCA, and be looking for an opportunity to further your training and professional development in a fast paced and exciting environment. Briefly, your duties will involve working on both purchase and sales ledgers and on credit control, but as the customer base is blue chip companies paying high value invoices, this is not going be an onerous task. The majority of your time will be spent supporting the management accountant with a range of management accounting duties such as accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations, but you will also be working closely with the newly-appointed COO on a wide variety of business critical analytical projects. In short, this is the perfect environment to gain a broad range of experience vital to your continued professional development.
