My client is a long established, highly regarded business, with a strong and loyal blue chip customer base, an enviable reputation for quality and clear plans about their future direction. As part of these plans, they are now seeking to appoint an experienced and ambitious individual to a role working closely with the Managing Director and Finance Director, overseeing all operational aspects of the business. The duties are tremendously varied, from ensuring best practice and first rate HSEQ, to workflow planning and HR, to working on tenders and developing long term customer relationships. There are many facets to the role, and it is imperative that you can display excellence in all of them. You will be articulate and numerate, possessing strong man-management skills without needing to micro-manage each situation, a desire to ensure the highest possible standards, and experience of working under, and reporting on, the strict operating procedures, protocols and KPIs that enable any business to be successfully managed, and the risk to it minimised. A key part of the role is working as part of the team that defines and implements the long term business strategy, such that the company can continue to thrive without losing sight of either its fundamental beliefs or its core focus.
