Regional Sales Manager

My client is an innovative and ambitious organisation, the market leader in its field and with robust plans to continue to deny the existence of a recession. As part of these plans they are now seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic regional sales manager to manage a team of self employed agents based around the M25. Unusually, they are looking for this person to be primarily office based (in the North West), working closely with the newly appointed Commercial Director, and generating their own sales in addition to managing their regional team. As such then, they are not looking to appoint a \"busy fool\" , constantly rushing round after the agents, but instead a commercially aware individual who is still actively involved with, and keen to remain in, day to day sales activities and client generation and retention. This is therefore one of those rare opportunities where they are not looking to take you away from your very area of expertise, but instead encourage your personal development within the company as it continues to develop. Experience of managing remote, self employed agents, would be advantageous, but most important is a strong track record of sales success in highly competitive environments.
