Looking for marketing jobs in the North West?

Marketing jobs are the lifeblood of any business. Often the only way that sales are directed to a company are through the efforts of the marketing department and the members of staff who hold the marketing jobs within that department.

Are there different types of marketing jobs?

Marketing jobs can take many forms, from traditional printed marketing material, advertisements and the like, through press release and other media representation onto website, e-mail and other SEO types of marketing. Often marketing jobs are dictated by an individuals chosen direction or where there skills sets lie; for example PR is one of the types of marketing jobs that not only puts a positive spin on various aspects (Although it is not always about the spin or getting an angle) but also includes press and media campaigns. This may involve new product launches, rebranding or just generally informing the public and the fantastic work or products that a company, service or organisation is offering.

What is the difference between sales jobs and marketing jobs?

Sales and marketing jobs go hand in hand with each other and in many smaller businesses you will find that the two departments are merged into one, under the control of the most senior of all marketing jobs, the Sales and Marketing Director. Often a board position, this person would be responsible for the strategic direction of the company, identifying which markets to target or concentrate on, and ensuring that all essential SWOT and competitor analysis has been conducted to ensure that the company has the best chance of making the most sales of its particular product or service.
