Elopak UK is a division of one of the top three carton producers in Europe (www.elopak.com), and is responsible for carton sales to major juice and milk producers across the UK and Eire. Their chief responsibilities to their clients are the supply of cartons to ensure continuous production and of spare parts for the filling lines to ensure that downtime is kept to an absolute minimum. The majority of the employees in the UK are based in the field, or embedded at key manufacturers, but Head Office and the support functions were relocated from Stevenage to Manchester, with a consequent requirement to recruit local replacements. As well as the entire finance function (Finance Director, UK & Ireland, Management Accountant and Accounts Assistant), there was also a requirement for Key Account Administrators and a unique Spare Parts Administrator role, dealing directly with the field based engineers.

Micro Matic Dispense Services (www.micro-matic.co.uk) is a division of a privately owned Danish Group of companies and is a major supplier of draught beer and soft drink equipment to pub companies across the UK. This equipment can vary from under bar refrigeration and connectors to dispensers and hand pumps on the bar itself. The business has both a supply function for bulk products and also a design and engineering operation working closely with marketing departments to develop dispensers either for specific promotions or events (often sport related). With that in mind, the recruitment of Logistics Manager, Commercial Director and Project Engineer were all to service these markets, whereas the Purchasing Manager was to identify manufacturers and establish a supply chain from China once the decision to outsource the plastic injection moulding functions had been taken.
