My client is the market leader in its field, with an enviable reputation for quality and innovation, a skilled and highly motivated workforce and clear plans about their future direction. As part of these plans they are now seeking to recruit an experienced electromechanical maintenance engineer to a role working as an integral part of the manufacturing team. Alongside the planned and reactive maintenance schedules, you will be expected to troubleshoot and test equipment, controls and software and identify solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs. 17th Edition qualified and with a background in manufacturing or engineering, you will be able to turn your hand to repairing and maintaining a range of mechanical, pneumatic and electromechanical machinery. It is imperative that you have knowledge of PLC systems and software interfaces, but you must also be computer literate, and be able to demonstrate intuition and imagination in your solution finding. This is not your run of the mill maintenance engineer role, as much of your day to day tasks will be self-managed, and there will be opportunity for continued career development.
