After a brief hiatus, our candidate of the moment feature is back! This week’s candidate is a highly experienced Sales & Service Delivery Director with a backgruond in both software development and IT project implementation.
Immediately available having agreed a severance package due to a global restructuring by the American parent company of his previous employer, this proactive and customer focused Sales and Service Delivery Director is looking for opportunities within the software development and the wider IT industry.
His degree and initial training have given him an excellent technical grounding, and he possesses an enviable track record leading sales and service delivery teams in developing existing customers and generating new product and services sales. Ultimately, as Sales and Service Delivery Director, he is a strong believer in the importance of long-term customer relationships.
He was headhunted to manage a £1m Service Delivery contract, achieving 100% increase in its value within two years, and, in addition to managing his sales team, he has also retained his own key accounts. On these, he has delivered 150% billings increase year on year for directly owned accounts, contributing £5m annually and securing £1.75m maintenance re-instatement contract after 3 years lapsed.
His key achievements as Sales and Service Director have included exceeding billings target in 11 out of 12 quarters, increasing EMEA annual billings by 7% over 3 years and achieving >95% retention rate on renewals billings.
Organisationally as Sales and Service Director, he was tasked with creating a multi-product team from three disparate units, implementing a single renewals process and transforming a transactional telesales approach to a proactive consultative account management style. This has led directly to an increase in software subscriptions renewals, as well as identifying new business and services opportunities within the existing EMEA customer base.
Other projects that this Sales and Service Director has been involved with for clients include a £1.25m Network and Voice Management infrastructure project, a £500,000 Project and Portfolio Management project and a £500,000 Software Asset Management and License Management project. He was also part of senior management team integrating 3 acquired companies and working on the due diligence process with several potential buyers.
