Part time Financial Controller, Cheshire and Staffordshire

Available immediately for part time roles and living within easy travelling distance of all parts of Cheshire and Staffordshire, she is seeking the opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic, forward thinking business at a strategic and commercial level and is able to be flexible to fit in with the requirements and demands of any business.

A Top 4 trained ACA qualified accountant, she manages all the finance and commercial functions reporting to the board of directors and major shareholders. Responsible for the production of monthly management accounts, statutory accounts and managing the audit, she also produces a range of weekly KPI and board reports and cashflow forecasts, and manages all company secretarial matters. This has included designing and implementing fully consolidated reporting pack for a group of six companies containing full P&L, Balance Sheet and annual cashflows and creating a new report that improved and enhanced cash flow forecasting.

Among her key achievements are the management of turnover growth of over 400% achieved both organically and through acquisition enabling investors to realise their anticipated returns within three years, and leading the due diligence process on four occasions, comprising two rounds of private equity funding, one trade sale and the acquisition and integration of a similar sized UK based company.

Additionally, from an operational perspective she has restructured the finance team, reducing month end reporting timetable to 5 days from 15, managed an office move including complete refurbishment, fully responsible for all facilities management and completing the disposal of one factory unit, worked with the sales team to improve forecasting accuracy and quoting process including maximising cashflow through improved payment profiles and implemented a contract review process that improved expense recoveries on contracts.
