My client is an outstanding success story, having reinvented itself to become the leading supplier of a range of manufactured products to a customer base that covers the entire scope of retailers, from supermarkets to major department stores to high street and discount outlets. Tasked with achieving significant growth targets, the Head of Sales is now seeking to recruit an additional member of the sales team into a new role managing a portfolio of existing clients but also seeking out new opportunities. The existing clients that you inherit will be some of the smaller accounts by value and volume (not potential), and your role will be to not only manage their current expenditure, but also to increase both the product base sold by these customers, and the turnover they contribute. A key part of this role, though, is to identify, approach and market test potential new customers, and any accounts that you are successful in acquiring will remain with you to develop further. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with a couple of years’ experience selling to the trade, multiples or even independents to join an established, successful team and develop your career further in a supportive, dynamic and forward thinking environment.
