Design EngineerCheshire£25,000pa - £35,000pa depending on experience
My client is a long-established company with an enviable reputation for innovation, reliability and customer service, constantly seeking out new markets with a view to maintaining their profile and service offering. As part of their plans for continued growth and development, they are now seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic design engineer with experience of electronics, electrical controls and mechanics to a new role working at the very core of the business. A graduate with some relevant post-graduation experience and practical knowledge of PTC CREO, Solidworks, Catia or a similar 3D CAD package, you will be given responsibility for all new projects and the on-going development of existing products, working closely with a variety of internal and external teams to ensure that the finished article exactly matches the end user’s requirements. In addition to the design aspects of the role, you will be expected to create technical drawings and carry out testing and quality checks on new and existing parts, liaise with suppliers over manufacture, delivery and cost, and compile all documentation including test certificates, user manuals and assembly instructions. This is an incredibly varied and high profile role, offering both the opportunity for significant involvement in the manufacturing and NPD process from day one, and ongoing professional development to ensure that your skills and experience remain at the cutting edge.
