My client is one of the region’s most recognisable employers, well-established with a long-held reputation for quality and customer service. Under the leadership of the Managing Director, they are now seeking to secure the long-term future of the business by developing the breadth of the customer base to drive sales growth. As part of the Managing Director’s plans to strengthen the senior management team, they are now looking to recruit an experienced and ambitious CIM qualified marketing professional to a new role, acting as head of the marketing department. Directly managing three members of staff, each of whom has specific responsibilities for different marketing channels, your role is to work alongside the Managing Director to ensure that the overall marketing strategy is executed. While this involves some degree of creativity, a key part of your role will be analysis of the different campaigns focussing on aspects such as return on spend, conversion ratios, new/existing customer comparisons, ensuring that the marketing budget is effectively spent. In addition to this, you will manage all external agency relationships, devise and control the marketing budget in coming years, and work with the buying teams to ensure that trends in customer tastes are being taken into consideration. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced marketeer seeking a broader, more commercial role.
