Senior Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer Cheshirec£45,000pa + benefits
Our client is one of the market leaders in its field, supplying on a global basis. As part of their current plans, they are looking to strengthen their management team with this new appointment. Leading a team of four, the position will include a mixture of planned and reactive maintenance to a variety of printing presses, ancillary equipment and buildings. Liaising with the Manufacturing Manager will be key to strategising the ongoing smooth running of the plant. Included will be an impending site move which will present a unique and rewarding challenge for the ideal candidate. Responsibilities will include setting up and maintaining supplier networks and contractors, managing budgets and projects, managing a small engineering and electrical department, introducing planned maintenance schedules and driving changes leading to increased efficiencies within the plant. You will also be expected to ensure that the business complies with current legislation and maintain records. The ideal candidate will posses good communication, organisational, planning and man management skills coupled with a hands on knowledge of mechanical engineering with an ability to effect emergency repairs as and when necessary. The candidate will also be well versed in the protocols used for maintenance and minor new works programmes and in areas such as boilers and pressure systems, confined spaces, electrical and petroleum.
