Plant & Site Services Manager

Stoke on Trent

to £40,000pa

My client is the market leader in its field, with an enviable reputation for quality and innovation, a skilled and highly motivated workforce and clear plans about their future direction. As part of these plans they are now seeking to recruit an experienced Plant and Site Services Manager to work alongside the senior managers in the manufacturing team. A 17th Edition qualified IEE electromechanical maintenance engineer, your role will be responsible not only for the fabric of the site, including facilities management, but also to instigate planned and reactive maintenance schedules, and to troubleshoot and test equipment, controls and software and identify solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs. With a background in manufacturing or engineering, you will be able to turn your hand to repairing and maintaining a range of mechanical, pneumatic and electromechanical machinery, and it is imperative that you have knowledge of PLC systems and software interfaces. You will be computer literate and articulate, capable of going toe to toe and working hand in hand with production planning and scheduling, and be able to demonstrate intuition and imagination in your solution finding. This role is vital to the continued success of the organisation and is certainly not your run of the mill electromechanical maintenance engineer role, as much of your day to day tasks will be self-managed, and there will be opportunity for continued career development.
