Management Accountant

c£30,000pa + study + benefits

My client is a long established and highly regarded organisation with operations around the country, and an income stream from a number of distinct business sectors. Having recently embarked on a major investment programme which will have a huge effect on the company and its market sectors, they are now seeking to appoint an ambitious part qualified management accountant to a new role supporting the recently appointed Finance Director. The finance team at Head Office is small but efficient, and the Management Accountant’s principal duty will be to collate and analyse all the available management information and produce the monthly management accounts for review by the Finance Director. However, a key part of the role is the overhaul of the IT systems within the organisation. As with many companies, there are a number of different software packages running side by side, not necessarily communicating with each other, with no-one with sufficient experience to create a bridge between them. The Management Accountant will be tasked with not only extracting the relevant information, eliminating duplication and the opportunity for error, but also to assess, investigate and ultimately propose a replacement system that is flexible and fit for purpose. This is a fantastic opportunity not just to gain a wealth of experience but to be part of a business during very interesting and dynamic times.
