Divisional Sales Office Manager

My client is an outstanding success story, offering a market leading, high ticket value and high quality niche product to an exclusively blue chip client base. As part of an increased focus by the board on this division, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced sales office manager to help drive continued business expansion. In many ways, this is not your traditional sales role – such is their regard within the sector, they are often the only name on tenders, so a key part is maintaining relationships with the existing client base. Also, the role acts as the “middle man” between the customer and the sub-contract suppliers, so a large section of the duties will cover project managing both client expectations and supplier performance, ensuring that each order progresses smoothly and is delivered on time and without error. That said, there are traditional sales elements as well, producing quotes and completing tender processes, managing the sales office itself and seeking out new business opportunities, on either a build or maintenance basis. The ideal candidate will therefore be someone with a background in sourcing and delivering engineering solutions, with good staff management experience, a track record of success in putting bids and tenders together and strong research and business development skills.
