My client is at a hugely exciting part of their development, with a market leading product, expanding global client base and a well-deserved reputation for the quality of their customer service and after sales care. To cope with an unprecedented growth in enquiries, they are looking to recruit an experienced and ambitious sales manager to a new role based primarily at their Head Office. Such is their reputation and the groundwork that they have done previously, they develop a significant amount of leads over the course of any given month, either through trade show attendance, web optimisation or other methods of publicity, and they are looking for someone to come in and pick up the vast majority of these enquiries as the basis of their pipeline. You will need to have a background in engineered product sales, as there will be a requirement to gain a good (and quick) understanding of the basic product, its capabilities and the potential for customisation for particular uses or clients; you will have significant involvement with the manufacturing team as well, as you would see the project through from initial enquiry to installation. Although based from the Head Office, you will not be limited as to where your potential clients could be, so this is a role that could involve significant travel opportunities.
