My client is a dynamic, expanding organisation with a strong brand name in their marketplace, robust and reliable products and a well deserved reputation for the quality of their after sales customer service. Having recently launched a number of new products, and with an eye to achieving even greater market penetration, they are now looking to recruit an experienced and ambitious telesales or internal sales team manager to a new role within the business. Responsible for every aspect of the cold calling, lead following up and CRM cleansing process, you will work closely with the marketing function on new campaigns and with the Managing Director and senior sales staff on the overall strategy of the business. Given the size of the team, you must also still be an active sales person, leading from the front and inspiring your team through your own efforts and results as much as anything else, able to use the carrot rather than the big stick. It is imperative that you can not only demonstrate previous success in turning round an underperforming team, but also a keen understanding of the importance of measurements and KPIs. The key result that they are seeking from this person is that they are able to lay strong foundations for the rapid expansion of this team, with this person as its figurehead.
