My client is a VC backed, rapidly expanding business with a clear sense of direction and an attainable growth strategy. As part of their plans moving forward, they are now looking to recruit an experienced and ambitious individual to a new and diverse position. As Membership Development Manager, the primary focus of your role is to increase membership uptake and improve retention rates among existing members. How you do this is essentially down to you, but will involve networking, referrals, proposition development and marketing, but your involvement will not end once a new member has joined. Instead, you will be responsible for on-boarding and ensuring that new members immediately feel the benefit of membership as well as ensuring that existing members feel valued and engaged. You must be articulate and organised, able to pull together a range of reports and analysis, with highly developed communication skills, comfortable dealing on the telephone and via e-mail as well as at corporate events, trade shows, exhibitions and conferences. This is an extremely interesting and high profile role, offering tremendous job satisfaction.
