My client is a dynamic and ambitious organisation offering a revolutionary product that is cost effective, market leading and award winning. They have experienced exponential growth in the last couple of years and are now seeking to capitalise on this success with entry into new markets. To assist the Managing Director in achieving his goals, they are keen to appoint an experienced, driven and determined individual to a new role heading up the UK and European sales function. The greatest emphasis of the role is on new business development and increasing sales within existing markets, but you will also have significant input into the overall marketing strategy which covers the full range of media, including trade press, traditional PR and digital. The potential client base is diverse, but most of their sales are based on long term relationship development and you must be comfortable dealing with senior decision makers as well as purchasing and procurement functions across a variety of sectors. You will be used to working in an autonomous role, and in being judged on success and increased sales, and experience of selling into the public sector, distributors and end user driven markets would be highly beneficial. This is not, however, one of those roles where you are expected to work your socks off for a basic salary and a pat on the back; not only would the bonus structure reflect the contribution that you are making to the company, but, given sustained success, the role is expected to develop into a much broader business management role.
