Export Technical Sales Manager

My client is a success story to be applauded; having weathered the bad times in the last couple of years by taking tough decisions and diversifying, they are now well placed to take full advantage of recovering markets and their loyal customer base. To enable this to happen, they are now seeking to appoint an experienced, dynamic technical sales engineer to a new role primarily concentrating on new business development opportunities, both within the UK and in export markets as well. Their primary route to market differs in the these two locations; in the UK it is direct sales, so you need to have a proven track record of developing sales from scratch, and playing the long game, but across EMEA sales are driven via a distributor network, so you must be able to demonstrate experience of sourcing and developing distributor relationships in different countries. Ideally this experience will have been gained within a mechanical engineering environment, preferably currently dealing across the same sectors (automotive, MOD etc), but consideration will also be given to those who have enjoyed significant success across EMEA, regardless of sector. This is not your run of the mill technical sales role - the business is keen to reward success both financially and in terms of career progression, and the stable platform that the company currently enjoys is the perfect springboard to this success.
