Commercial Manager

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a dynamic and ambitious organisation at a critical point in its development. My client is renowned for providing a high quality and cost effective service, and is keen to take advantage of this reputation, changes in legislation and commercial opportunities presented to it. They are therefore seeking to appoint an experienced commercial manager with a proven track record of sales generation to a pivotal role within the business. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will be responsible for all new business development within the organisation at both a corporate and branch level, covering the full range of marketing forums, from press, to networking to SEO and web optimisation. Your role will be wide ranging, involving a high degree of analytical work (assessing sales mix, margins and market potential etc), designing and implementing operational procedures and KPI reporting and working closely with the branch managers to increase individual branch profitability. You must be able to demonstrate previous experience in all these areas, with a flair for marketing, e-commerce, and business development and be an experienced man-manager, preferably within a branch or remote site environment. An understanding of the key drivers in owner managed businesses would be useful, but most important is the ability to demonstrate previous success in all the areas, from bringing new business on board to getting the best out of your staff. There will be some travelling involved, so you must have a full UK driving licence. If you think of yourself as a frustrated entrepreneur, this might just be the role for you!
