Purchasing Manager



My client has been an outstanding success story for more than a decade and in that time has grown from humble beginnings to being a major player in its respective marketplace. Having undergone a period of consolidation, they are now in a position to drive the business to maximise its full potential, and are looking to recruit an experienced, dynamic but above all commercial purchasing manager to a new role within one of their fastest growing teams. Ideally you will be CIPS qualified, or working towards it, and have had some staff management exposure. However, the major drivers in the recruitment are as follows – the personality to fit into the team, the intelligence to analyse and interpret data, spot trends and produce reports and the ability to cut a deal. This last area might seem a bit “Del Boy”, but we are looking for candidates with experience of managing large numbers of products lines and who have proactively sought out negotiations, rebates and other cash saving approaches to their purchasing duties. This is not your standard purchasing manager role, and we are not looking for standard purchasing manager candidates – if you have the volume experience, the ability to negotiate deals and the experience to match, this could be the perfect way to achieve your New Year's resolution!
