Business Development Manager

North West, UK wide travel

35,000pa + bonus

My client is one of the most dynamic and ambitious organisations in the North West. Having wisely reined in their growth plans during the last two years, they are now confident enough in their business pipeline and track record to look at strengthening their senior team, with one eye on increasing revenue and the other on recruiting the leadership team of the future. As such, their immediate plans involve the recruitment of a Business Development Manager with a proven track record in generating new business opportunities at Director level across a broad church of clients across the UK. In addition to a proven track record in new business development (with the statistics to back this up), they are looking for candidates accustomed to working autonomously, in terms of strategically planning sales campaigns and without the safety net of a team around them. You will be judged solely on your performance and results, and will be responsible for cradle to grave sales pitches, from identifying opportunities to signing up clients; there is no restriction on how you source these clients, although there will be leads provided from tentative enquiries in addition to your own efforts. You must be literate and numerate, comfortable preparing reports for head office, completing tender proposals and making presentations, and with an understanding of, or at least interest in, the UK and European eMarketplace sector.
