Commercial Director

North West

£65,000 - 70,000pa + benefits

My client is a VC backed business offering a 21st century solution to a decades old problem. Such is the quality of their product offering and their exemplary customer service record, they are seeking further expansion, in terms of staff, customers and into hitherto unchartered sales territories. As part of their plans moving forward, they are now looking to appoint an experienced commercial director to the board. The role will inevitably revolve around bringing new business to the company, but is not exclusively about the primary sales channel, and therefore a little black book is not a necessary requirement. Instead, we are seeking applications from candidates with experience of both new business development and channel partner management, with a proven track record of developing markets and capitalising on opportunities. You will need to demonstrate consistent success in a benefits driven sales environment, where price is not the primary motivator, and be able to provide examples of developing relationships with channel partners and resellers. This would be an outstanding opportunity at any time, but in the current economic climate, this is a stand out role offering both a challenge, prospects and the potential for investment in the company (with attendant rewards) at a point in the future.
