Quantity Surveyor

My client is one of the best established and most respected construction companies in the UK, and is leading the way in nurturing the green shoots of recovery in the construction sector. To service their current project requirements and with an eye to forthcoming projects, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and ambitious quantity surveyor to a new role supporting the North West team. You will have at least a couple of years genuine experience in quantity surveying in either the utilities sector or general construction; this may be currently in an assistant role, from which you are looking to make a step up, or as a fully fledged, autonomous QS. Either way you must have had experience of managing concurrent projects, producing reports, managing bills of material and controlling costs. Although the role will be primarily office based, there will also be site visits, so you must have a full driving licence; after a settling in period, these visits are also likely to be carried out independently of other members of the team, so your written and verbal communication skills must be of the highest order. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a proven track record in quantity surveying to join a high profile employer and forge a long term career.
