My client is an outstanding success story, enjoying an enviable reputation amongst its customers and exponential growth. As the business continues to develop, new career opportunities arise, and this is just such an opportunity. The main focus of the position is to manage the internal sales team, which operates on an incoming call basis only, dealing with existing and in some cases long standing clients. Your role is to assess the commercial viability of each request, and to develop the team into an autonomously operating group of individuals, through either implementing controls or in depth training. You must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of revenue generation, of implementing robust and flexible systems and of getting the most out of your staff. In a sense there will be few limits on the scope of the role, as the board is seeking to appoint a commercial dynamo who will deliver strong profits with minimum input from them. However, in return for this autonomy and high profile they will expect nothing less than total commitment and ongoing success, and you must be prepared to accept this as the flipside of this outstanding opportunity.
